On February 16, 2002, members of the MTA Karate
Academy competed in the Union County Karate Classic. This was the very
first MATT competition for any our students. The competition was
fierce with over a dozen competitors in almost every age and belt
category and although our students had to patiently wait to compete
until well after 2:00pm all of our students placed. This was remarkable
given the fact that most of our students made the decision to attend the
tournament just a couple of days prior to the competition.
Congratulations to Corey Williams, Marisa Maher, Aaron Lightfoot, Elvis
Barksdale and Keya Barksdale on their outstanding performance.
