Master
R.J. Shaw, founder of MTA Karate Academy, promoted Kimberly Rivera to
Orange Belt on June 29, 2002, after just 3 months of dedication and hard
work. In addition to her success in the DoJang, Kimberly received
various academic awards at the end of her school year. Awards include
the "3rd
Grade Reading Award", for the most books read throughout the school
year, the "Excellence Academic Award" for being part of the school's
Honor Roll list once again, and the "President's Education Award" with a
letter signed by President and Mrs. Bush for "Outstanding Academic
Excellence". Kimberly also had a successful soccer season by leading
her team to first place with 12 goals during the season. Because of
Kimberly's discipline, patience and perseverance, she received the
"Self-Control Achievement Award" and also the "Christlike Attitude
Trophy" at the end of her soccer season. We are very proud of
Kimberly's achievements as she continues to grow and to set a good
example for newer students at the MTA Karate Academy. Keep up the good
work!!
